Chief Executive Officer

HMH - Hospitality Management Holding is entering a new phase of growth and expansion building on a superb portfolio of hotels owner by his mother company as well as by our entrusted partners in the GCC and, wider Middle East and Africa.

I am delighted to join HMH at this exciting time to support the Board's strong ambition to expand in the region as the leader in the dry hotel segment with five strong brands ranging from 5-star to budget ecological hotels as well as serviced apartments. In a wide hotel market of mergers and consolidations, HMH was one of the first operators to focus on this niche market and we are eager to capitalize on our expertise and experience in the segment.

Asali has over twenty years of hospitality experience with internationally recognized chains.  After several years in operations, Asali joined Arthur Andersen as a Real Estate and Hospitality Consultant in Bahrain and then London.  He came back to the Middle East in 2002 as the Vice President International Lodging Development for Marriott International, and during his tenure he signed more than 40 hotels across the region.

Coming from the Ajman Palace Hotel, HMH's flagship property, where during my tenure, as General Manager, I have been successful in positioning the property to where it has now emerged as a key competitor to the recognized worldwide brands in the Northern Emirates. A Graduate from the prestigious Shannon College of Hotel Management, Purcell has during the course of his career, held progressive management positions with landmark properties in South Africa, Ireland and Northern Ireland and has to his credit the organization of the historic G8 Summit in Northern Ireland in 2013 which was attended by the world’s top leaders.

Faycal Ouaissa
Head of Operational Support

With nearly two decades of experience in hospitality, Moroccan national Faycal Ouaissa specialises in launching new F&B outlet concepts and has worked with leading brands such as the Marriott, One and Only Hotels and Resorts, Le Meridien and Hilton. His most recent posting was at the Belgian Beer Café at Radisson Blu Hotel on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi and Pascal Tepper French bakery at Dubai Media City.

Multi-lingual in Arabic, English and French, he has worked at the Marriott in Jeddah, KSA before moving to the UAE in 2000 to take charge of F&B at the One and Only Royal Mirage Hotel in Dubai. He later opened restaurants at the Hilton Dubai and Madinat Jumeirah Dubai prior to becoming an operations manager and then an F&B consultant.

At HMH Faycal is responsible for providing all necessary operational support and assistance to general managers. He is also responsible for operational audits and implementation of brand standards at all hotels under the group. Subsequently he will work on streamlining the hotel operations.

Hala Al Ramadhi
Director of Technical Services

Ms. Al Ramadhi began her career in 1998 as an Architectural and Interior Design Assistant with Gensler in London. Working her way up, she subsequently gained valuable experience with a number of prestigious architectural firms in the UK such AJP Frankham and WAT&G before moving to the UAE in 2007. She then joined Aldar Properties PJSC, Hotels & Hospitality as Design Manager.

A British national, Ms. Al Ramadhi holds a degree in Architecture from De Montfort University in Leicester in UK. She completed a thesis project in Tailoring; Architecture from University College Dublin in Ireland followed by a professional diploma in Architectural Practice, Construction Legislation, Procurement and Contracts from the same institute. Ms. Al Ramadhi has a strong interest in how sustainable practices can be incorporated into all architecture and qualified as a Certified Passive Designer by the Passive House Institute (PHI), Darnstadt in Germany.

Prior to joining HMH, Ossama was the Financial Controller at Mercure Centre Hotel in Abu Dhabi. During the course of his career Ossama had the opportunity to hone his skills at many successful properties such as Rotana Coral Beach Tiran, Sharm El Sheikh; Novotel Seeb Airport, Muscat; Sofitel Pyramids Park, Cairo; Ramada Renaissance, Cairo. An Egyptian National, Ossama is a graduate from Cairo University and fluent in English language and Arabic.

At HMH, he is responsible for monitoring and analysing monthly operating results against budget and forecast at different hotels under the group. In addition, he evaluates the reports and audits the hotels to ensure correct HMH protocols, policies and procedures are adhered to.

Ilham Ismail
Head of IT

Recognised as an IT professional with an MBCS from The Chartered Institute for IT and a certified specialist in many diverse areas of IT, Ilham Ismail has been involved in hospitality-related technology for more than a decade, having worked for the Radisson Blu Riyadh, the Jumeirah Group and, most recently, as Cluster IT Manager for Carlson Rezidor in Oman.

Following specialist training in system administration as well as travel specific requirements such as GDS applications, he is now responsible for IT support, project management, regulatory compliance, partner management and planning and budgets in the IT department at HMH, ensuring the group is ahead of the game in innovative IT applications.
